Pregnancy Journey was started by two prior military nurses, Elizabeth Aragona and Christina Marapao who met while working together at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base, California.   Their dedication and commitment to the process of life and its Journey is the foundation that which embraces the lives of each unique individual and their story of life.  You're going to love Pregnancy Journey!

Elizabeth graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She was commissioned into the Air Force Nurse Corps and spent her first year and a half at the Air Force Academy working on a Medical/Surgical floor. Her following tour was at David Grant Medical Center on the Labor and Delivery Unit. During her time there she was deployed to Germany to take care of the first casualties of the Invasion of Iraq. Elizabeth is married to an Air Force Nurse. They unsuccessfully tried to conceive for a year and half, but finally with the help of in-vitro fertilization through   California IVF in Davis they had twins. She is now the mother of fraternal twins and step-mother to her husband's daughter.

 

Christina graduated from the University of San Francisco in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. While attending USF she was also an Army ROTC cadet and was commissioned into the Army Nurse Corps upon graduation. She spent two years at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany working on the postpartum unit and aided patients of the embassy bombings in Africa. She completed the Army Medical Department's Obstetrical Course at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii and finished her army career at Madigan Army Medical Center at Ft Lewis, Washington. She worked on the gynecological surgery, mother/ baby and labor and delivery wards there. Christina joined the Air Force in 2002 and was assigned to the labor and delivery floor of David Grant Medical Center for 4 years.  She is married to a Sacramento City Firefighter (who also serves as an Army National Guardsman) and has a beautiful daughter who was the inspiration of this company.
