Prior to your elective 3D/4D ultrasound, a routine ultrasound examination should be performed in your doctor's office to assess the gestational age of the fetus and to evaluate for fetal anomalies, as well as the basic components of fetal anatomy. Start the Bonding ProcessThe best time to have your full 4D ultrasound is between 28 and 32 weeks. It is possible to get 3D/4D images at any time, but within this range the baby has well developed facial features, yet still has enough amniotic fluid for us to get great images. Many expectant parents schedule an ultrasound at around 26 weeks to see a cute little face and much of the body. They return at around 33 weeks when the finest details of the face can be seen. Also, many parents come in to see their baby moving in 4D during the early stages (around 20 weeks) and to get a guaranteed gender determination. They then come back at around 30 weeks to receive detailed images of the face. We offer several packages for families who would like to view their baby more than once. Share images of your babyIn all of our sessions, you will get several 4x6 printouts of your ultrasound. With our Diamond, Platinum and Gold Ultrasound Packages, you'll also receive a CD containing high-resolution images that you can either print out or e-mail to your family and friends.
Pregnancy Journey is an elective ultrasound imaging facility. We require that all mothers have documentation of their medical, diagnostic ultrasound. We do not perform medical ultrasounds.
